My name is Dr. Joe Potter, DDS.  I grew up in Pueblo, CO and graduated from CU-Boulder in 2009.  I attended dental school at the AMC in Aurora and graduated last year in 2014.  I moved to Los Angeles last summer and have started a Master’s Degree program in Orofacial Pain and Oral Medicine at USC.  It is a hybrid distance-learning program that allows participation from all over the world for working dentist.  I recently received my Colorado dental license and am looking to relocate to Denver for better practice opportunities that focus on patient centered care. 

I have strong clinical skills in surgical and non-surgical extraction, endodontics, implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, pediatric dentistry and restorative dentistry as well as excellent interpersonal communication and technology skills.  I have participated in numerous continuing education courses provided by the University of Southern California and certified CE providers throughout Los Angeles this past year.  I have completed course work in implant surgery and restorations, endodontics, sleep apnea treatment, and orofacial pain management.  In addition, I put aside numerous hours each month for the study of practice management and small business fundamentals so I can provide my patients and team with the best dental environment possible. 

I am committed to patient advocacy and decreasing the amount of oral health disparities in underserved communities.  I currently serve on the Board of Trustees with the Hispanic Dental Association of Los Angeles and the Legislative Committee for the Los Angeles Dental Society, and advocate for increased dental benefits for Medicaid patients.  I do my best to provide each and every person I serve with the most functional, ethical and esthetic treatment plan to meet their oral healthcare   needs and desires.   I focus my work on both form and function when it comes to dental care and I pride myself in my attention to detail and unwavering ethics in order to treat my patients as people first and not just another mouth to bring back to good health.  I would love the opportunity to meet with you to discuss this opportunity further.  I am fielding interviews in Colorado the 19th to 28th of October.
