My name is Davy Chen, I am writing to you today to express my interest in the position of General Dentist as posted on the indeed.com. I am a recent graduate of Midwestern University and obtained my DMD degree May of 2015.

After graduation, I was given the opportunity to buy into a dental franchise system, Comfort Dental, in Kansas City, KS with a six month trial period. This has been a rewarding and educational experience as this is a young, high volume, fast paced practice which accepts all types of insurance, including Medicaid and self-pay. As one of the three owner/doctors my duties include patient management, staff management, regulatory compliance, training, hiring and firing, quality assurance, patient relations, equipment maintenance, and more. I complete diagnostics, treatment plans, restorations, cleanings, denture fabrications, root canals, and many extractions. I have reorganized the supply ordering system, improved the way recall patients were contacted, and increased staff accountability while maintaining a low overhead. I have an excellent relationship with the other two doctors, and immensely enjoy and thrive in this environment, but ultimately, have decided to move back to Chicago for personal reasons.

I feel that I am an ideal candidate for the position because of my clinical skills, ability to adapt, my experience with both digital/analog dental imaging, an excellent ability to connect and establish rapport with a wide population of patients.

My positive attitude and focus on patient care would make me an asset to your organization and your patients. I am enthusiastic and I pride myself in my ability to triage tasks while maintaining a sense of urgency. I have the ability to remain calm and collected in a fast paced environment.
