Effectively operate x-ray machines and develop x-rays. Examine patients’ head, neck and oral cavity for signs of disease. Co-diagnose ailments with the dentist to develop appropriate periodontal treatment plans. Scale, polish and apply sealants and fluorides. Implement irrigation and desensitizing procedures or products as adjunctive to periodontal therapy when necessary. Recommend products and restorative treatments in response to patient needs.
