I am a highly dedicated self-starter who greatly enjoys meeting challenges in the workplace and takes great pride in mastering what I learn. I have been able to utilize my experience in public speaking, teaching, training, marketing and public relations in all aspects of my professional and personal life. My sales and merchandising background is extensive; I consider myself fortunate for having experience as a supplier as well as a buyer. I have supervised and managed small and large groups of employees and volunteers for various organizations. I have shared my skills with nonprofit organizations of the United Methodist Church for the past 25 years, developing innovative programs from the ground up. I have collaborated with businesses and community groups to run such programs in different areas of the state of Texas. I have headed capital campaign and fundraising efforts while holding leadership positions at district and conference levels. I have coordinated events while managing program schedules, marketing, logistics, supplies, equipment, food vendors, etc. I have organized successful city-wide health fairs, multicultural programs, retreats, and benefit concerts. I have also worked on genealogy projects for the past 20 years as well as translating Spanish to English and English to Spanish documents for the past 30 years.
