In this role I provide leadership and oversight to the clinical staff of the sleep center as well as maintain as the liaison for our physician providers and coordinate operations at multiple sleep centers.</p><p> </p><p>I have held healthcare positions serving the pediatric population at the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital and also at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.  I have also obtained my MBA in Healthcare Management from Western Governors University learning from a curriculum of operational planning, budgeting, finance, strategic planning, policy development, management, and leadership.  Prior to my career in healthcare I worked in the field of education as a high school teacher and coach at Ridgeview High School in Orange Park, FL.</p><p> </p><p>In addition to my current position, I was elected as a Director to the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) serving a four year term. While maintaining as Director, I will be Treasurer of the organization starting in 2017. The BRPT is the premier international credentialing and education organization representing a constituency of more than 20,000 sleep technologists.  In this role I hold committee chair positions managing staff and volunteers while developing policy initiatives for sleep technologist education and credentialing.  One such committee I am a member of is the Finance Committee, which is responsible for the operational and capital budget in excess of one million dollars.</p><p> </p><p>With my leadership traits and operational expertise coupled with my current business education and previous experience in healthcare and education, I feel that I would be a great fit in the role of Practice Administrator.  I also feel that I can bring a new perspective to the dental group and assist in possible expansion and marketing of dental sleep medicine.  I look forward to speaking with you in the near future.</p><p> </p><p>Sincerely,</p><p> </p><p>Stephen Marquis</p>
