Position serves as lead dentist, managing staff of 13. Treatment included all phases of pediatric dentistry from simple restorations, sometimes on mentally handicapped and autistic children to complicated pulpectomies and Nu Smile crowns on children as young as a year old. Elective conscious sedation, nitrous oxide, is used for behavior management in medically competent and age appropriate children. Between 30-40 patients are seen per day rotating between three operatory rooms and 1 bay area of three chairs. A full work week is 4-5 days.</p><p>Associate Dentist, Perry L. Jeffries Dentistry for Kids <br />September 2007 – June 2014<br />This private practice dental position allowed treatment of children from 0 – 18 years old. Treatment included all phases of pediatric dentistry from simple restorations, sometimes on mentally handicapped and autistic children to complicated pulpectomies and Nu Smile crowns on children as young as a year old. Elective conscious sedation, nitrous oxide, is used for behavior management in medically competent and age appropriate children. Between 25-30 patients were seen per day rotating between six operatory rooms and three bay areas of three chairs each. A full work week consisted of five days a week, 8 hours a day.</p><p>Dentist, Wilkes Public Health Dental Clinic<br />February 2006 – August 2007<br />The job position as dentist consisted of a range of treatment to an underserved patient population of children 0-18 y.o. Treatment ranges from simple treatment planning to complicated molar root canal treatment. Elective conscious sedation, using nitrous oxide was used for behavior management in medically competent and age appropriate children. An average of 18 patients were seen per day. Treatment was also rendered on the mobile clinic which runs during the entire school year. Dentists were rotated between the dental clinic and mobile clinic. Some administrative duties included leading monthly clinical doctor’s meetings and managing individual dental teams consisting of the dentist and two dental assistants. Responsibilities also included supervision of unlicensed dentists employed by the clinic holding intern permits and rotating dental assistant students from Wilkes Community College that observed at our facility during the spring semester. While all general dental procedures were performed, I was the referred dentist in the pediatric clinic for root canals which were performed on patients as young as ten-years-old using rotary endodontic techniques. A full work week was four days weekly, 9 hours daily.</p><p>Dental Assistant, Hudson Dental Clinic <br />October 2004 – August 2005<br />The job position as dental assistant consisted of facilitating Dr. Hudson with dental treatment to patients. Position initiated October 2004 and terminated August 2005 due to dental school graduation.</p><p>Accounting / Human Resources Assistant, Federal Mogul Corp.<br />May – August 1999 <br />The job position as accounting and human resource assistant involved duties of organizing and updating data entry for the company’s accounts’ payable and payroll department. The duties also involved assistance to the human resource manager where I assisted in the creation of a financial reference system for the department and assisted in organization and data entry of the company’s employment information, past and present.</p><p>Machine Operator, Federal Mogul Corp. <br />May – August 1998<br />The job position as machine operator involved the duties of operating a mechanical press machine that produced seals for General Motors cars. The job began in May of 1998 and ended in August 1998. Voluntary termination to return to college.<br /> <br />Switchboard operator, Federal Mogul Corp. <br />May – August 1997<br />The switchboard operator position involved the duties of operating the phone system of the entire corporation and hosting all guests of the company. The job began in May of 1997 and ended August of 1997. Voluntary termination to begin college.</p><p>Wendy’s Fast Food Restaurant <br />July 1995 – February 1996<br />The cashier’s position began in July of 1995 and ended in February of 1996.
